You know, I get the question a lot

“How do you remember all that art history stuff?”

My answer is usually always the same…

“I dunno. I just do.”

It’s the same way a lot of people memorize sports statistics or recipes, I guess.

I think half the battle is finding the information relevant. I feel that all of that information is relevant and interesting, therefore, it’s easier for me to remember. It sticks with me. Same with my mom and all her mathy stuff. She uses it, it’s relevant to her job, ta-da!

Granted, it does take a bit of studying after a point, ‘cause small things start to slip through the cracks, the more and more you try to cram up into your brain, but that’s to be expected. And I don’t mind that because it’s all really cool to me!

So… that’s my answer I guess? Does anyone else get this question fairly often? I sometimes have a hard time explain my nerdy brand of enthusiasm to people, haha.

Hi! I'm Emily. I live in the southern US and I'm a college student. This is basically a multifandom blog and I have a pretty wide range of interests.
I try not to reblog too much that's not of general interest, unless I'm on a kick (which I usually am). Feel free to ask me anything or just pop in and scream into the unjudgmental void of the internet.
